Overview
The OPTIFLUX 2400 is a high-performance electromagnetic flowmeter (EMF) for water and wastewater. It is ideally suited for demanding applications requiring high accuracy, advanced process and device diagnostics, and wireless on-site verification. The meter also features enhanced conductivity measurement with outstanding response times. Operators benefit from an additional measurement parameter that supports early detection of water quality issues and helps prevent empty pipe conditions, without the need for further investment. This parameter is integrated as standard and provides a reliable overview of the medium’s condition at all times.
For all of the approximately 80 application and device diagnostics, the OPTIFLUX 2400 incorporates OPTICHECK technology built-in. All measured data and diagnostic information can be easily accessed and customised via a wide range of configurable settings. These can be clearly indicated on the high-resolution display with colour coding according to NAMUR NE 107 and can also be transmitted to the control room for seamless monitoring. The flowmeter is also equipped with a real-time clock, which enables event logging and analysis of the recorded diagnostics.
Next to continuous self-monitoring, the OPTIFLUX 2400 offers wireless parameterisation, real-time measurement monitoring, and on-site verification via Bluetooth® when used with the KROHNE OPTICHECK Flow Mobile app. A verification report can also be generated wirelessly at the push of a button – without interrupting the client's process, opening the converter housing, or working in confined installation spaces, thereby simplifying operation and maintenance while improving occupational safety.
The OPTIFLUX 2400 is available with a wide range of approvals for potable water and offers various chemically resistant liner materials for wastewater applications. It also features a virtual reference option, allowing installation without additional grounding rings. This results in substantial cost savings for installation and procurement, particularly in large-diameter pipeline systems.
The electromagnetic flowmeter can also operate in energy-saving EcoMode. This mode addresses the growing demand for sustainable and efficient energy use, significantly reducing the meter’s power consumption – without compromising measurement accuracy.
